Udyami is the flagship entrepreneurship workshop of the Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras, strategically designed to bridge the gap between promising early-stage startups and the investment ecosystem. More than just a competition, Udyami is a rigorous, outcome-oriented platform that equips founders with the practical insights and critical networks needed to build fundable, scalable ventures. By blending curated startup showcases with expert-led workshops and direct investor interactions, we create a unique environment where innovative ideas are refined into executable business roadmaps.

The Udyami experience is a comprehensive journey for selected founders. Shortlisted startups, typically from high-impact domains like SaaS, FinTech, Climate-Tech, and Deep-Tech, present their pitches to an esteemed jury of investors and seasoned entrepreneurs. This is followed by deep-dive breakout sessions, where founders receive granular feedback on their financial models, go-to-market strategy, and product-market fit. Integrated workshops on pivotal topics—from term sheet navigation to AI-enabled product management—provide actionable knowledge that founders can immediately apply to their ventures.
